i just posted the first How-To which tries to explain you how to create a MySQL Database in cPanel. If there is something unclear about it donīt hesitate to ask or make suggestions on how to improve it and i will consider them. Now, thatīs just basic stuff, but i have seen that question on the support forums of several other hosters, so i thought i do a quick How-To for this host and post it here. There are a few more tutorials waiting to be finished, here is a short list of what i am currently working on:
Now i know that some of them might be available through the Fantastico Installer, yet i prefer to install scripts manually. I donīt know why that is, but i always did a manual install rather than using some Autoinstaller. Anyway, before i wander off to far back on topic. I also take Requests on How-Toīs, so if you have a Script at hand and canīt get it installed or to work at all, then let me know and iīll see if i can get it to work and do a How-To on that. The following how-toīs are available as of now: Installing SMF Forum Installing Wordpress How to create a FTP account How to create a MySQL Database The above ones are all done for your afreewebhost.com account, though there are a few more available that might be of general interest such as "How to import exorbitantly large databases" and things like that. Most of them have been added to the How-To section here. However some of them will stay on my blog as they arenīt specific to afreewebhost.com and therefore not "worthy" posting them here. Sorry for not updating these section over the last days but had sort of a hard time. Had the flu for almost a week, got bitten in my hand by a stray dog that attacked my dog while we were playing in the fields, sh** load of work to do jobwise...basically been buggered a lot over the last week.
I will be publishing some more tutorials over the next few days, so stay tuned and check back often. |
